Humanoids is the U.S. based counterpart to Les Humanoïdes Associés, one of the most prestigious French graphic novel publishing houses. In existence since 1974, our catalog contains books by authors such as Moebius and Alexandro Jodorowsky, among many others. Recent releases include Muse from Terry Dodson, I am Legion with art from John Cassaday. Humanoids primarily publishes English translation of classic European works for English speaking territories, in addition to producing original content every year. Humanoids offers high quality titles, both in terms of story and in terms of production values, to the direct market (comic book stores) as well as to certain avenues of the general book market.
Jo Witherington is a life-long fan of the industry and joined Humanoids in 2011 as it's head of Marketing, pioneering their foray into the social media world of Facebook, Tumblr, & Twitter. Jo specializes in cultivating relationships on how to play ip the strengths of a book in order to maximize its exposure in the public eye. Jo visits conventions in order to spread the brand awareness of Humanoids Publishing while looking at possible artists, writers, and projects to develop.
