Round 3: The FSC Cosplay Dance Off Round! 4 Teams will be selected by our panel of judges to participate and a Wild Card Team will be selected by the audience. A judge will call out the number of each Team while the song plays and that Team will dance on stage until the next Team is called up. Terror Firmer is the latest moneymaking Dali-esque masterpiece unleashed by director Lloyd Kaufman and the Troma Team. Their trademark manic humor combines with a new darker sensibility to create the latest in a legendary line of genre-bending classics. Inspired by Lloyd Kaufman’s book, “All I Need To Know About Filmmaking I Learned From The Toxic Avenger” (Penguin Putnam), Terror Firmer is the most action packed, most personal, most bizarre, and most commercial celluloidal adventure in the 25-year history of Troma Entertainment. Honored by Film Festivals the world over, Terror Firmer has firmly established Troma as THE fount of mass appeal alternative cinema, the world’s source for something challenging and original.
This is the story of a New York low-budget film crew, led by their insane and egostical blind film director, Larry Benjamin, who is trying to create a work of art. In addition to the typical trials and travails of a Troma set, the crew is preyed upon by a sexually conflicted, bomb-toting serial killer. Among the large poorly-paid film crew, the movie centers mostly on production assistant Jennifer, who struggles to do her job while deciding between the two men in her life; the straight-laced boom operator Casey, and the rebellious special effects operator Jerry. The love triangle intensifies as the dead bodies mount with increasingly brutality. At the climax, the entire film crew bands together (both physically and sexually) against the mortal threat in their midst.
